It was our great pleasure to meet lots of the local children big and small last night on our way round Malborough and Salcombe, we collected lots of money in our collection boxes and that will be put together with the money collected tomorrow night (Thursday 21/12/2017) at the carol singing on Whitestrands car park in the middle of Salcombe where there will be complimentary mulled wine, hot chocolate and of course mince pies! We start at 6 pm, look forward to seeing you there!
Our headline acts return for another year – David “Fitz” Fitzgerald off the telly will be overseeing the auction and Liz Turner is providing not only all of the food but also one of the auction prizes! Steve Mammat from Actionwest will of course be making his very special Pimms for everyone on arrival and there will be the usual Jazz to accompany the Pimms! This year Salcombe Crabfest are delighted to announce that the celebrity guest at this year’s Crabfest will be Matt Tebbutt!
Matt presents Food Unwrapped on Channel 4. Series eight of this award-winning food show is now in production.
He is also the new lead presenter of Saturday Kitchen on BBC1. This 90-minute cookery show is broadcast live on Saturday mornings and is a well-established favourite on the BBC.

Salcombe Rotary are happy to be able to support Kaleidoscope South Hams who doing amazing work in our area, pictured are Peter Betteridge and John Cooke presenting a cheque to the charity.
Representatives from Crabfest sponsors Favis of Salcombe and Coast and Country as well as John Sampson, Peter Ralph and Peter Betteridge from the Salcombe Rotary Club were all present to hand over a cheque for £3,800 to the Young Persons Centre in Salcombe.

Thanks to the generosity of both the participants and donations of the most amazing auction items we hope to have raised aver £5,000 for the Town Regatta and the Swimming pool – final total to follow!
We have a couple of tables available for this years Fireworks picnic at Cliff House which will see us supporting the Town Regatta and the Swimming Pool which needs tiling.
The date for this years “Firework do” is August 4th and the price will be £35 per person (10 per table). Music is by the Salcombe Jazz Quartet and Becki Brine will be singing. There will be Pimms on arrival from 7pm and the bar will be open until midnight. David Fitzgerald “Fitz” will be doing the charity auction in aid of the Salcombe Swimming pool and the Town Regatta, the menu will be as follows:
