Working for the local community

Causes we support

We have been privileged to help a variety of local charities as well as supporting the good work Rotary does Worldwide, especially eradicating Polio in association with Bill Gates and his foundation.

Our first Firework Picnic event (August 4th this year – tickets available) supported local charity Saltstone Caring (Saltstone website) who are a registered charity whose aim is to promote the independence, physical and mental well-being of older, isolated or vulnerable people living in Kingsbridge, Salcombe or the surrounding area. In 2016 we will be supporting the Swimming Pool and the Salcombe Town Regatta.

Crabfest (Crabfest Facebook page and Crabfest website) will be supported Beehives which is located in the Young Salcombe Centre very close to the location of Crabfest next to Shadycombe Car Park. the building upkeep is the responsibility of Hazel who runs the building for the use of two other groups and our aim this year is to replace the hard play area outside with a child friendly surface and hopefully replace the kitchen as well. The event was an amazing success and thanks to all of the volunteers, exhibitors and visitors we raised over £10,000!

What’s on

Salcombe Rotary

Welcome to the web site for Salcombe Rotary, we are a friendly Club with relaxed rules and regulations. We meet every Tuesday at the Royal Oak in Malborough at 6pm for around half an hour except the fifth Tuesday of a month when we do something different. Our aim is to organise fun and interesting events that we would enjoy and use them to raise funds to help the local community.
